Job summary

AeroVironment in Huntsville, AL is seeking a Senior Performance Analysis Engineer to support Ground-based Missile Defense analyses for the MDA. You will perform mission and system performance analyses to evaluate engagement outcomes and operational capability across threat scenarios.

You will develop MATLAB/Python tools, run Monte Carlo simulations, analyze large datasets, and present findings to government and contractor leadership. Security clearance and U.S. citizenship are required.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in STEM fields is required.
• 12+ years of related professional experience.
• Active security clearance (SECRET or above).
• Proven MDA GMD program experience and strong MATLAB/Python skills.
• Strong stats, numerical methods, optimization and simulation background.
• Experience turning analyses into actionable engineering recommendations.

Responsibilities

• Perform performance analyses of GMD system capabilities using modeling and simulation tools.
• Develop analytical methodologies to evaluate engagement outcomes and system performance.
• Design, develop, and maintain analytical tools using MATLAB and Python.
• Conduct Monte Carlo simulations and trade-space assessments for decisions.
• Analyze large datasets; communicate results to leadership and government customers.
• Collaborate with engineers, M&S teams, software developers, and SMEs.
• Support design reviews and customer briefings; maintain documentation.
