Electric Power Engineers (EPE) is seeking a Senior Manager – Transmission Planning Utilities to lead a team of Engineering Managers and experts delivering forward-thinking grid planning services for utilities and ISOs in the US.

The role requires deep ERCOT/NYISO/NEISO system knowledge, strong leadership, and a track record of delivering projects on time and within budget while maintaining client satisfaction. Flexible work arrangements include hybrid/remote options where appropriate.

Qualifications

• Experience leading engineering teams in a consulting setting.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and client engagements with attention to quality and timelines.
• Strong written and verbal communication; capable of clear client-facing documentation.
• Proven ability to hire, develop, and mentor staff; build internal and external relationships.

Responsibilities

• Lead a team of Engineering Managers and technical experts in transmission planning.
• Oversee portfolio of projects, ensuring on-time delivery within budget and scope.
• Provide technical oversight for power system studies (steady state, short circuit, dynamic stability, EMTP).
• Support business development through RFP responses and client engagement.
• Drive process improvements and maintain high client satisfaction.
