Job summary

1898 & Co., a division of Burns & McDonnell, seeks a Grid Systems - Senior Solution Architect to modernize electric utility grid operations. You will lead SCADA, EMS, OMS, DMS, ADMS, and DERMS programs, guiding architecture, design and deployments for major utility clients in a team-focused, enterprise environment.

The role emphasizes program leadership, cross-functional collaboration, and continuous improvement, with travel across US locations as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in a relevant field is preferred.
• Minimum 7 years delivering enterprise or operations architecture strategies and integration services.
• Experience with electric utilities and OT/IT convergence is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Architect, design, develop and implement SCADA, EMS, OMS, DMS, ADMS, and DERMS solutions for complex business needs.
• Lead commissioning, testing and deployment of grid modernization programs.
• Coordinate project execution, budgeting and schedule adherence.
• Provide leadership, stakeholder communications, and cross-team alignment.
• Guide business process design and end-to-end integration efforts.
