Job summary

The role requires a Bachelor's degree in Electrical or Computer Engineering and at least six years of relevant experience, with hands-on work in PSS/E and TARA. Eligible locations include Carmel, IN; Eagan, MN; or Little Rock, AR.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical/Computer Engineering or related field.
• At least six years of power system planning or operations experience.
• Experience with PSS/E power flow and TARA applications.
• Strong understanding of power system analysis and transmission reliability concepts.
• Ability to analyze complex scenarios, identify problems, evaluate data, and develop technically sound recommendations.
• Knowledge of NERC and FERC regulatory and compliance requirements.

Responsibilities

• Perform Intermediate Planning studies across 18–24-month horizon, including Firm Service Step-Up analyses.
• Conduct power system studies using PSS/E and TARA, including power flow modeling, contingency analysis, transfer analysis, transient and voltage stability.
• Develop near-term strategies to maximize the capabilities of the transmission system while maintaining reliability.
• Coordinate study scope, assumptions, inputs, and results across multiple planning and operations teams.
• Improve data flow and transparency to support timely, well-informed decisions.
