Job summary

Burns & McDonnell is seeking an experienced Grid Systems - Senior Solution Architect to modernize utility grid operations for electric clients. You will join the Enterprise System & Integration team, driving SCADA/EMS/OMS/DMS/ADMS/DERMS initiatives and leading project execution with a focus on quality and client value.

The role requires strong utility industry acumen, excellent communication, and the ability to lead complex programs across delivery teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience in a related field.
• Minimum 7 years delivering enterprise/operations architecture strategies.
• Experience with OMS, DMS, ADMS, AMI, and DER integration preferred.

Responsibilities

• Architect, design, and implement SCADA, EMS, OMS, DMS, ADMS, and DERMS solutions.
• Lead commissioning, testing, and field verification of grid systems.
• Coordinate program estimating, planning and budgeting for projects.
• Support enterprise program management using Waterfall and Agile methods.
• Ensure project delivery on time, budget, and quality targets.
• Develop executive-level technology assessments and roadmaps for utilities.
• Travel up to 30% as needed to support client engagements.
