Job summary

TransGrid Energy seeks an Interconnection Engineer to lead grid interconnection execution for utility-scale BESS, solar PV, hybrid renewables, and data center projects. You will coordinate with utilities, ISOs/RTOs, and project teams to ensure feasibility and timely deployment.

This role requires deep ISO/RTO knowledge, CAISO familiarity, and a proven track record in large-load interconnections. You will manage studies, agreements, and communications to resolve technical and regulatory issues.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in interconnection or power systems required.
• Deep understanding of ISO/RTO processes and tariffs.
• Experience with CAISO is a plus.
• Experience with large load interconnections (data centers).
• Strong analytical and communication skills for clear business presentations.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the Project Engineering technical lead for grid interconnection requirements on assigned projects.
• Translate IA/GIA and utility/ISO/RTO requirements into project engineering requirements.
• Develop interconnection strategies and manage interconnection studies and agreements.
• Interface with utilities and ISOs/RTOs; track milestones and costs.
• Maintain traceability from study assumptions to as-built configuration and resolution.
