Job summary

Qualifications

• Thorough understanding of electrical engineering concepts such as load flow and voltage regulation.
• Experience modeling electric distribution systems.
• Ability to manipulate data from large datasets to derive engineering insights.
• Knowledge of grid modernization technologies and industry best practices.

Responsibilities

• Support electric system operators by optimizing the distribution system using the distribution network advanced functionality of DMS (e.g., AFR/LVM).
• Serve as a subject matter expert in real-time technologies such as ADMS, SCADA, DER dispatching, energy storage, microgrids, Volt/Var Optimization.
• Collaborate with system operations, IT, and engineering to ensure DMS functionality and future enhancements.
• Develop project approval documentation including need statement, scope, technical solution, risks, budget and schedule.
• Engage with external counterparts, vendors, and stakeholders to align with industry best practices.
