Job summary

Weaver is seeking a senior associate or supervisor to join the Governance, Risk, and Compliance (GRC) team. The role focuses on IT controls within SOC 1/2 audits, SOX/SSAE compliance, and IT risk management for diverse clients.

Ideal candidates have 4–6+ years in public accounting, a relevant degree, and familiarity with SSAE, SOC, GAAP, and IIA standards. Growth, collaboration, and a dynamic environment are emphasized at Weaver.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, MIS, CS or related field.
• 4-6+ years of experience in public accounting.
• Familiarity with SSAE standards, SOC guides, GAAP, and IIA standards.
• Understanding of SOC Reporting guidance and Sarbanes-Oxley Section 404 and IT's role in compliance.
• Understanding of IT general controls, applications, system infrastructure, network layer and security configurations.
• Understanding of financial reporting processes including accounts receivable, cash management, revenue recognition, IT departments, loans/claims management.
• Experience supervising Associates and Senior Associates.

Responsibilities

• Assist with the execution of SOC 1 and SOC 2 engagements and audits.
• Supervise Associates and Senior Associates on engagements.
• Apply SSAE standards and GAAP in IT controls context.
• Collaborate with clients to improve IT governance and risk management.
• Communicate findings and recommendations to project teams and clients.
