Job summary

Weaver’s Governance, Risk, and Compliance (GRC) practice seeks a motivated Associate or Senior Associate to join our Asset Management Consulting team. You’ll work on internal audit and SOX engagements for asset managers, handling day-to-day project management across 1–6 engagements.

The ideal candidate is proactive, collaborative, and detail-oriented, with strong communication skills and a willingness to learn. A flexible on-site/client presence supports our culture of innovation and teamwork.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or related field.
• 1+ years of experience in audit, consulting, or the investment management industry.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Familiarity with GAAP, GAAS, COSO, Internal Audit Standards, and SOX requirements.
• SOX experience with large financial services, investment companies, and asset managers.
• Understanding of asset management industry and SEC regulations.
• Ability to collaborate with clients and manage multiple projects.

Responsibilities

• Support day-to-day project management of 1-6 engagements.
• Perform internal audit and SOX-related work.
• Assist with compliance program development and ongoing monitoring.
• Communicate regularly with client personnel and stakeholders.
