Job summary

Americans for Prosperity (AFP), part of Stand Together, seeks a Director of Grassroots Operations to lead statewide grassroots efforts in Texas. You will recruit, coach, and manage a field team, develop scalable tactics, and oversee data strategy for advocacy campaigns.

The role focuses on events, canvassing, and policy engagement in a fast-paced field environment. The position requires travel ~25% and offers competitive compensation with potential bonus, within the Stand Together ecosystem.

Qualifications

• Proven experience supervising large, multi-layered grassroots teams.
• Strong ability to design and execute statewide grassroots campaigns.
• Experience with data-driven field operations and reporting.

Responsibilities

• Design and execute statewide grassroots strategies to advance public policy.
• Lead, coach, and supervise a multi-layered grassroots team across events and outreach.
• Develop team capabilities and retain top performers for long-term impact.
• Build a portfolio of field tactics to drive engagement and advocacy.
• Own data strategy for grassroots execution and ensure data integrity.
• Partner with internal teams and vendors to align grassroots efforts with goals.
• Oversee full field employee lifecycle including hiring and onboarding.
• Drive adoption of internal knowledge systems and tools.
