Job summary

Side is seeking a Senior Engine & Graphics Engineer to lead the development of core engine, rendering, and graphics systems in Unreal Engine 5. You will profile CPU/GPU/memory performance, uncover bottlenecks, and implement scalable solutions across multiple projects.

The role requires deep expertise in graphics programming, engine architecture, and autonomous problem solving, with leadership to guide internal teams and clients toward high visual fidelity and efficient gameplay across platforms.

Qualifications

• Significant senior-level game/graphics engineering experience.
• Proven expertise in Unreal Engine 5 and rendering systems.
• Strong C++ programming and low-level engine knowledge.
• Experience profiling and optimizing CPU/GPU/memory performance.
• Ability to work autonomously and lead technical direction.

Responsibilities

• Lead development and optimisation of core engine, rendering, and graphics systems in Unreal Engine 5.
• Profile and resolve complex performance challenges across projects.
• Collaborate with gameplay engineers, technical artists, and content teams to identify bottlenecks.
• Own performance strategy and establish best practices across multiple projects.
• Contribute hands-on to engine-level development and low-level systems programming.
• Mentor engineers and drive engineering excellence through code reviews.
