Bring ideas to life. Shape the brand. Make an impact.
The University of Florida College of Journalism and Communications (CJC) is seeking a talented and experienced Senior Graphic Designer to help shape how one of the nation's leading journalism and communications programs is seen and experienced.
This is an exciting opportunity for a creative professional who can transform ideas, information, and complex concepts into compelling, sophisticated, and accessible visual communications. As a key member of the College's communications and creative efforts, the Senior Graphic Designer will develop visual solutions that elevate the CJC brand and support its academic programs, research centers, departments, events, strategic initiatives, and community engagement.
This full-time, in-person position offers the opportunity to work on a diverse portfolio of projects spanning print, digital, environmental, and multimedia communications. No two projects are alike—from designing a high-impact magazine or annual report to developing social media campaigns, digital advertising, event materials, presentations, signage, and graphics for multimedia productions.

The Senior Graphic Designer will take projects from concept to completion, partnering with faculty, staff, leadership, and other College stakeholders to understand communication objectives and develop creative solutions that deliver results.
The ideal candidate brings a sophisticated eye for typography, composition, visual hierarchy, layout, imagery, branding, and accessible design, along with the ability to balance creativity with strategic communication goals. This position requires someone who is comfortable taking ownership of projects, managing competing priorities, solving problems independently, and delivering exceptional work under deadlines.
We are looking for a designer who is both strategic and creative—someone who can take a communication challenge, identify the visual opportunity, and develop a polished solution that connects with its intended audience.
The successful candidate will demonstrate:
At the University of Florida College of Journalism and Communications, your work will help tell the story of a dynamic institution preparing the next generation of communicators and advancing research and innovation across journalism and communications.

If you are a designer who enjoys turning ideas into meaningful visual experiences, thrives on variety, and wants your creative work to have a visible impact, we invite you to bring your talent to CJC.
The typical schedule for this position is Monday through Friday, 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m., with periodic adjustments to accommodate special projects, events, productions, and other College needs.
