Job summary

WSP is seeking a Senior Consultant for the Grants Strategy and Development Team in Florida, with locations including Tampa, Jacksonville, Orlando, and Tallahassee. You will lead post-award grant management, ensure compliance with federal guidelines, and support client engagements across public infrastructure programs.

You will collaborate with advisory teams, expand the team’s portfolio, and drive grant opportunities from identification through negotiations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Public Policy, Urban or Transportation Planning, or related discipline.
• 5-7 years of relevant experience performing complex grant functions, including grant writing for federal discretionary programs, executing grant agreements, post-award grant administration, and grant accounting functions such as reconciliations, reimbursement requests, and financial reporting.
• Experience supporting business development efforts, shaping pursuit strategy, and securing advisory engagements with public- and private-sector clients.
• Strong interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to meet multiple deadlines and adapt to unanticipated client requests for grant development/management support.

Responsibilities

• Lead post-award grant management and compliance strategies for public infrastructure projects, on behalf of clients, and in collaboration with the Advisory team and other WSP practice groups.
• Contribute to business development efforts with emphasis on building the Grant Strategy and Development Team’s portfolio of post-award grant management contracts—from opportunity identification to proposal development, interviews and negotiations.
• Leverage professional network to support business development opportunities, marketing, proposals, and cross-selling of WSP capabilities.
• Contribute to client engagement and foster client relationships.
• Demonstrate knowledge of Federal regulations and grant requirements, ensure all grant activities comply with Federal guidelines including 2 CFR 200.
