Job summary

Met Council is America’s largest Jewish charity focused on alleviating poverty through comprehensive social services. The Senior Grants Associate will craft high-quality applications, proposals, and reports to secure foundation and government funding in New York and beyond.

The role partners with the Senior Director of Grants and cross-functional teams, requiring 3–5 years of grant writing experience in social services, with strong attention to detail and ethics.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required in a relevant field.
• 3–5 years of grant writing experience in social services, food security, or related fields.
• Experience with prospect research and cultivation.
• Proficiency with government grant portals and CRM systems; data visualization and AI tools preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare competitive letters of intent, proposals, reports, and ancillary materials for foundation, private, and government funding.
• Research funders, monitor RFP releases, and summarize opportunities for internal assessments.
• Review applications for accuracy, compliance, and deadlines, coordinating with stakeholders.
• Collaborate with program, finance, and development staff to gather content for grant materials.
