Job summary

The University of Washington’s Division of Cardiology seeks a Grants and Finance Manager who will oversee finance, payroll, and research administration for a portfolio of over 200 budgets totaling roughly $64 million. This role requires deep knowledge of grants management, budget controls, and compliance with UW policies.

Reporting to the Administrator-Program Operations, you will lead staff, coordinate pre/post award activities, and provide financial reporting to senior leadership.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration or related field, or equivalent experience.
• Four or more years of experience in research and/or healthcare administration in an academic or non-profit setting.
• Equivalent education/experience may substitute for minimum qualifications except where legal requirements apply.

Responsibilities

• Oversee finance and payroll administration for the Division of Cardiology.
• Manage pre- and post-award activities for grants, contracts and clinical trials.
• Provide financial reporting and analyses to division leadership and program managers.
• Ensure compliance with university, state and sponsor requirements across budgets and reports.
• Support staff training and supervise senior budget analysts and assistants.
