Job summary

FloridaCommerce is seeking a Government Operations Consultant III in the Community Economic Development (CDBG) unit in Tallahassee. The role manages federal sub-grants to local governments for housing, public infrastructure, and economic development, ensuring compliance and providing technical assistance.

Responsibilities include monitoring sub-grants, negotiating amendments, reviewing applications and correspondence, and facilitating training workshops for local governments.

Qualifications

• Proficient in developing, administering and monitoring State and/or Federal grants and contracts.
• Knowledge of State purchasing procedures and ability to interpret statutes, administrative rules, and federal regulations.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills with outstanding customer service ability.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks independently and as a team member.
• Ability to conduct overnight travel for extended periods.
