Job summary

JVS SoCal is seeking a Budget Manager – Grants/Contracts Billing & Reporting to oversee grant and contract budgeting, invoicing, and reporting. You will collaborate with the Director, program directors and accounting staff to ensure accurate financial oversight and compliance with GAAP and grant terms.

You will prepare program budgets, manage monthly close activities, monitor expenditures, support audits, and maintain contract data files.

Qualifications

• BA/BS in Accounting or related field required.
• 5+ years of relevant accounting experience.
• Experience in nonprofit/government contracting environment.
• Familiarity with OMB Uniform Guidance and federal contracts a plus.
• Strong analytical, accounting research and problem-solving skills.
• Highly detail-oriented with broad organizational perspective.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
• Proficient in Excel; experience with NetSuite and Concur.

Responsibilities

• Prepares program budgets in accordance with contracts and grants documents.
• Participates in monthly close activities including invoicing, accruals and adjusting entries.
• Monitors monthly expenditures against budgets; reviews with program directors.
• Proposes budget modifications to ensure contract compliance.
• Prepares reports (e.g., closeout reports) and assists in audits.
• Maintains contract data files and related documentation.
• Supports special projects to improve operations.
