Job summary

St Johns Community Health is seeking a Grants Accounting Manager to oversee all grants accounting from award to closeout, ensuring timely, complete reporting and compliance with GAAP, OMB Super Circular and grant conditions. This role is the primary liaison between Development, Finance and Programs to communicate the financial status of grants.

The position emphasizes state, county, local and private funding and entails pre-award input, post-award coordination, monthly monitoring of budgets,

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in related field or equivalent.
• 4–6 years of related experience, including in Finance.
• Ability to write clearly and concisely and edit for clarity.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
• Strong organizational, problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Ability to manage priorities and workflow.

Responsibilities

• Pre-Award Phase: input for grant proposals.
• Post-Award Phase: coordinate award documents and budgets.
• Monthly Monitoring: track budgets and provide modification recommendations.
• Reporting: prepare periodic financial reports to funders and GAAP compliance.
• Record Keeping: maintain contracts and grant records.
• Audits: coordinate financial audits and respond to requests.
• Cross Training: train on payroll processing and assist with special projects.
