Adams County Government is seeking an experienced finance professional to support the Head Start department with complex accounting and grant management tasks. You will analyze trends, monitor grant compliance, and lead process improvements and fiscal oversight.

The role calls for collaboration with management to assess financial consequences of decisions. Responsibilities include preparing annual grant budgets, CAPs, cost projections, and monthly expenditure reports.

Formación

• GAAP knowledge and adherence to accounting standards.
• Strong budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis capabilities.
• Experience interpreting federal, state, and local grant requirements.
• Ability to write clear fiscal reports and correspondence.
• Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.

Responsabilidades

• Develop and maintain systems for grant budgeting and tracking allocations.
• Lead annual grant budget preparation for Director and BOCC.
• Prepare Grant Cost Allocation Plans (CAP) and monitor accuracy.
• Produce monthly fiscal and budget reports for oversight boards.
• Prepare expenditure authorizations and related summaries.
• Advise grant administrator on Annual State Plans and projections.
• Monitor expenditures to ensure alignment with budgets.
• Prepare monthly expense reports for grant stakeholders.
• Coordinate with external monitors and auditors on accounting matters.
• Champion improvements to internal controls and fiscal procedures.
