Job summary

St. Francis House seeks a Senior Grant Writer to research, develop, and write compelling grant proposals to secure funding for Day Shelter, Workforce Development, Behavioral Health, Housing Stabilization, and more.

You will manage grant budgets, identify opportunities, and collaborate with Finance, Programs, Evaluation, and HR to ensure accurate narratives. The role requires 3–5 years of experience, a Bachelor’s degree, and strong English writing skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in relevant field (communications, marketing, journalism, nonprofit management, human services).
• 3–5 years related experience preferred.
• Experience with donor management systems/CRM.

Responsibilities

• Researches, develops, writes and submits proposals, budgets, reports for grant submissions.
• Cultivates relationships with private and corporate funders and program managers.
• Assists with writing proposals for local, state, and federal contracts as needed.
• Ensures timely submissions and accurate funder communications.
