Our nonprofit is seeking an experienced grant writer to support the development, writing, and submission of competitive grant proposals. The ideal candidate has a strong track record with HUD CoC, SAMHSA, DOJ, California state grants, and foundation funding related to homelessness, housing, behavioral health, or reentry services.
Responsibilities
- Research federal, state, county, and foundation grant opportunities aligned with Voyage House’s mission.
- Write compelling, trauma‑informed, evidence‑based grant narratives.
- Prepare full application packages including budgets, attachments, logic models, and required forms.
- Coordinate with leadership to gather organizational data, policies, and supporting documents.
- Ensure all submissions meet funder requirements, deadlines, and formatting guidelines.
- Assist with Letters of Intent (LOIs), grant calendars, and reporting requirements.
Qualifications
- Proven experience writing successful grants for nonprofits (required).
