Qualifications

• Three to five years of grant writing experience in nonprofit settings.
• Proven success securing grants from private foundations, family foundations, corporate foundations, and government sources.
• Strong writing, editing, proofreading, and storytelling skills.
• Ability to translate program data and community needs into persuasive grant narratives.
• Experience managing deadlines, reporting, and funder documentation.
• Ability to collaborate across departments to support proposals.

Responsibilities

• Identify new grant opportunities across foundations, corporations, civic groups, and government sources.
• Write letters of inquiry, grant proposals, applications, and cases for support.
• Collaborate with program, finance, and leadership teams to gather budgets, data, and outcomes for proposals.
• Manage grant calendars, deadlines, reporting, and stewardship materials.
• Prepare funder correspondence, updates, and site visits coordination.
• Honor confidentiality and maintain donor stewardship protocols.
