The Senior Grant Writer at AltaMed Health Services Corp works within the Grants Development Team to respond to government RFPs and requests from foundations. You will develop compelling proposals that align with organizational goals and programmatic needs, coordinating internal and external partners to craft narrative and budgets.

You will lead the proposal process to ensure timely submission by deadlines and may pursue new funding opportunities for leadership approval, including concept papers

Qualifications

• Master's required, PhD in health services or medical degree preferred.
• Publication writing and presentation experience in the healthcare or related field required.
• Minimum of 7 years of grant writing experience in the health care nonprofit sector.

Responsibilities

• Respond to RFPs issued by government agencies and institutional funders.
• Develop compelling proposals that align with organizational goals and programmatic needs.
• Coordinate, manage and lead internal and external proposal development teams.
• Craft the narrative and budget for proposals.
• Ensure timely completion and submission of comprehensive applications by deadlines.
• Seek funding opportunities to present to leadership for approval.
• Develop concept papers that showcase best practices for AltaMed programs.
