Job summary

The University of Illinois System is seeking a Visiting Senior Funding Compliance Coordinator in a hybrid Chicago-based role. The incumbent will manage grant lifecycles, monitor subrecipient performance, and ensure compliance across multiple state and federal funding streams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in business administration, accounting, finance, public administration, or a related field.
• Three or more years of professional experience in grants management, finance, accounting, or a related field.

Responsibilities

• Support full grant lifecycle management, including budgeting, awards, tracking, and closeouts.
• Monitor grant expenditures for alignment with budgets and grant terms.
• Develop and maintain budgets, forecasts, and financial reports across funding streams.
• Coordinate with OMI, SPA, and university offices to support grant administration and compliance.
• Oversee subrecipient monitoring and ensure deliverables and compliance with terms.
• Review invoices against budgets and scopes of work for allowability and timeliness.
• Prepare financial reports and documentation required by funding agencies and stakeholders.
• Assist with audits, site visits, and reviews of fiscal and programmatic records.

Education
