Job summary

E Service Point is seeking a grants and financial compliance professional to manage government and foundation grants in Chicago and across Illinois. You will maintain records, ensure GATA and 2 CFR 200 compliance, and prepare vouchers and reimbursements for timely funding.

In this role you will partner with program leadership on budgets and amendments, support accounts receivable, and provide strategic insights on grant utilization and financial controls.

Qualifications

• Must manage grants in compliance with GATA, Uniform Guidance (2 CFR Part 200), and funder rules.
• Prepare and submit vouchers and reimbursement requests on time and per formats.
• Monitor grant expenditures to align with budgets and allowable costs.
• Collaborate with program leadership on grant budgets, amendments, and cost allocations.

Responsibilities

• Maintain financial records for federal and state grants ensuring GATA and UG compliance.
• Prepare and submit vouchers and reimbursement requests in line with grantor timelines.
• Monitor expenditures and verify alignment with approved budgets and allowables.
• Partner with program leadership on budgets, amendments, and cost allocations.
• Serve as primary client contact for complex grant requirements and reviews.
• Oversee vouchers to ensure accuracy, timeliness, and GAAP compliance.
• Support accounts receivable coding, collections, and reporting.
• Assist in developing comprehensive grant and program budgets with leadership.
• Provide strategic financial insights from grant requirements and funding utilization.
• Lead funder reviews and audits with finance and program leadership.
• Ensure client compliance with federal, state, and local funding rules.
• Support internal controls to safeguard assets and prevent fraud.
• Evaluate and improve financial processes using technology and best practices.
• Provide advanced accounting guidance on revenue recognition and relevant ASUs.
• Foster relationships with stakeholders as a grants and contracts expert.
• Address client concerns with timely resolutions.
