Job Summary
The Neurological Clinical Research Institute (NCRI) at Massachusetts General Hospital (MGH) is a premier Academic Clinical Research Organization (ACRO) dedicated to managing and conducting clinical trials in neurological disorders. NCRI's multidisciplinary team includes physician-researchers, research nurses, clinical research coordinators, grant managers, financial analysts, project managers, data managers, SAS programmers, systems analysts, and administrative assistants—all committed to the successful planning and execution of clinical trials.
Reporting to the Director of Contracts and Finance, the Senior Grant Administrator (GA) is responsible for the full lifecycle management of a portfolio of clinical research grants. This includes both pre-award and post-award activities. The Senior GA will collaborate closely with Principal Investigators (PIs) and cross-functional teams to oversee all financial and administrative aspects of clinical research projects. Responsibilities include developing grant budgets and proposals, forecasting, monitoring fund activity, allocating expenses, resolving accounting discrepancies, and serving as a liaison with federal and non-federal sponsors, vendors, internal departments, and subcontracting institutions.
The Senior GA serves as a key point of contact, ensuring effective coordination and communication between internal stakeholders and external partners. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong communication and analytical skills and act as a trusted advisor to PIs and project teams, ensuring compliant and efficient grant administration throughout the project lifecycle.
