Qualifications

Job Summary:

  1. Pre-Award: Oversees the preparation and submission of all research proposals, ensuring all documentation and criteria are met. Collaborates with lab staff and Principal Investigators to identify costs and liaises with sponsors and central offices.
  2. Post-Award/Financial: Ensures fiscal compliance, approves expenditures, monitors budgets, and provides financial reports. Coordinates with hospital departments and outside vendors to meet research needs.
  3. Research Compliance: Acts as the primary resource for regulatory updates, ensures compliance with all regulations, reviews cost transfers, and oversees effort reporting accuracy.

Education: Bachelor's Degree in a related field required. Experience in research administration (3-5 years) preferred.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: Proficiency in spreadsheets, databases, accounting software; excellent communication and organizational skills; ability to handle large data sets; knowledge of funding guidelines; negotiation skills; independence and problem-solving abilities.
