Job summary

The SC Department of Behavioral Health and Developmental Disabilities (BHDD) is seeking a Senior Accountant/Fiscal Analyst to manage grant accounting, budgeting, and financial oversight for state grant programs. The role supports the Office of Mental Health at the Central Office, Cayce, SC, and collaborates with program managers to ensure compliance and timely reporting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree with accounting courses may substitute for the required work experience.
• Bilingual abilities in English and Spanish are a plus.
• Occasional travel may be required; overtime may be required.

Responsibilities

• Perform professional grant accounting duties and oversee grant programs.
• Complete monthly cash management reconciliation and related journal entries.
• Prepare and submit required documents to the Executive Budget Office and set up grants in SCEIS.
• Load grant budgets by grant, cost center, and expenditure line, monitor forecasts.
• Review grants for indirect cost provisions and verify balances with agencies.
• Prepare federal financial and programmatic reports as required.
