Job summary

Iridium is seeking a Senior Government Sales Engineer to lead pre-sales technical support for DoD and other USG programs. You will coordinate with cross-functional teams to build pipeline, demonstrate capabilities, and advance product adoption.

A current Secret/Top Secret clearance is required, with travel and in-office collaboration as part of our hybrid model. Ideal candidates have 8+ years in USG telecommunications, strong Linux and IP networking skills, and proven ability to translate

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in business or technical field.
• 8+ years of USG or military telecommunications experience.
• Hands-on SATCOM, tactical radios, IP networks, or related systems.
• translate mission requirements into practical technical solutions.

Responsibilities

• Provide pre-sales technical support for complex products and solutions.
• Collaborate with USG Sales to assess product applicability and prepare specs.
• Influence external organizations to support USG sales objectives.
• Drive outreach, qualify leads, and follow up to meet marketing goals.
• Develop and execute sales strategies for government environments.
• Support negotiations, service, training, and implementation activities.
• Prepare capture strategies and own plan execution.
• Engage with prospective customers to build relationships and present offerings.
• Manage USG relationships and identify revenue/ product opportunities.
• Prepare status reports and suggest areas for product enhancements.
• Plan and participate in technical demos and trade shows.
