Job summary

Iridium Satellite LLC is seeking a Senior Government Sales Engineer to drive pre‑sales support and government opportunity development. You will translate DoD mission needs into practical product configurations, coordinate with cross‑functional teams, and help accelerate product adoption in USG accounts.

The role requires a current Secret clearance, strong SATCOM and IP networking expertise, and the ability to travel. Hybrid office model with Chandler, AZ and McLean, VA postings.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in a relevant field.
• 8+ years of USG or military telecommunications experience.
• Hands on experience configuring, integrating, operating SATCOM and related networks.
• Strong communication and relationship-building with senior leadership.

Responsibilities

• Provide pre-sales technical support for complex products and solutions.
• Collaborate with USG Sales to assess applicability and prepare technical specs.
• Drive outreach, qualify leads, and follow up in the USG market.
• Develop and execute government account plans and sales strategies.
• Support contract negotiations, technical support, and training activities.
• Prepare capture strategies and plan execution.
• Engage with prospective customers to build relationships and present offerings.
• Plan and participate in product demonstrations and trade shows.
