Job summary

Amazon’s Legal Department seeks a seasoned litigator to manage a worldwide portfolio of government enforcement, litigation, and regulatory matters. You will advise on business risk and coordinate with senior leadership across Amazon’s diverse businesses.

The role involves directing case strategy, supervising outside counsel, and handling both affirmative and defensive litigation, including discovery, across multiple jurisdictions.

Qualifications

• Juris Doctor degree and bar admission in one state or equivalent.
• 5+ years of litigation and regulatory experience.
• Experience handling multiple projects and crises.

Responsibilities

• Handle a wide range of government disputes and regulatory matters.
• Interact directly with local, state, and federal regulators and law enforcement.
• Direct overall case and matter strategy and manage outside counsel.
• Assess risk and coordinate with senior leadership on risk management.
• Counsel internal stakeholders on complex legal and policy issues; manage all litigation stages.
