Qualifications

• Juris Doctor and bar admission in at least one state
• 13+ years of post bar admission legal experience
• Experience leading cross-functional teams
• 10+ years of litigation and regulatory experience
• Experience at both a law firm and government agency
• Federal judicial clerkship
• Trial experience
• Familiarity with retail, Internet, software, and/or media industries

Responsibilities

• Handle and supervise government disputes and regulatory engagements across Amazon’s businesses
• Interact with government officials at local, state, and federal levels
• Direct overall case and matter strategy and manage outside counsel
• Assess risk and coordinate with senior leadership on risk management
• Counsel internal stakeholders on complex legal and policy issues
• Manage all stages of both affirmative and defensive litigation, including discovery
