Job summary

Medium is seeking a Sr. Project Manager for the Original Equipment (OE) Group. The role ensures customer interface, project execution, and on-time shipment of technically challenging contracts.

The Sr. Project Manager collaborates with multiple departments to meet contract objectives, manages milestones, and maintains contract documents and status reports. A strong background in government projects is preferred.

Qualifications

• Requires US citizenship per Federal contract.
• BS in Engineering or Project Management or equivalent required.
• 5-10 years of experience managing government projects.
• Experience in managing R&D projects in engineered products preferred.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, standards and specifications.
• Ability to read and interpret purchase orders and customer specifications.
• Proficient in Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, MS Project and the Internet.
• Strong interpersonal, collaboration, leadership, communication, organization, and problem-solving skills.
• Detail oriented and highly motivated.

Responsibilities

• Act as the primary point of contact with the customer and manage communications and satisfaction after contract award.
• Define the scope of supply for awarded contracts, with internal deliverables and submittals.
• Collaborate with Engineering Manager to establish milestones and priorities.
• Monitor status through engineering, job creation, procurement, manufacturing, testing and shipping.
• Interface with Operations, Supply Chain, Planning, Quality, Sales, Test, and Engineering as needed.
• Coordinate and chair meetings to ensure planned activity and quality meet contract requirements.
