Job summary

The State of South Carolina is seeking a Procurement Specialist to develop solicitations, ensure compliance with the Consolidated Procurement Code, and guide end users through the bidding process. You will review documents, perform market analyses, and manage the contract award process.

The role includes ongoing contract administration, negotiations, and cross-team collaboration with agencies. Travel may be required; CPPB/CPPO certifications are a plus.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required with experience in procurement, contract management, or equivalent
• Experience with government procurement processes and procurement regulations is preferred
• CPPB/CPPO certifications are a plus

Responsibilities

• Develops solicitations before posting to ensure compliance with procedures and regulations.
• Evaluates procurement responses to ensure responsiveness and responsibility.
• Manages contract negotiations and documents; drafts final contracts.
• Provides ongoing contract administration and resolves issues with contractors and end-users.
• Guides procurement processes for governmental entities and maintains current vendor information.
