Job summary

AT&T Global Public Sector in Columbia, MD is seeking a Senior Network Design Engineer to design wireless, wireline, and broadband networks for government programs. This role requires on-site presence five days per week at the posted location.

You will lead detailed network designs, deployments, performance tuning, and documentation, with compliance to standards and collaboration with stakeholders. TS/SCI with polygraph clearance is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a technical field preferred; or an Associates with 5 years of experience
• Hands-on configuration of enterprise routers and switches (Cisco and Juniper)
• Experience with IPSEC and MACSEC security protocols
• Ability to support WAN/MAN/CAN/LAN technologies
• Ability to configure and troubleshoot routing and switching protocols
• Strong technical writing and organization skills

Responsibilities

• Develop and manage detailed network designs and architecture for wireless, wireline, and broadband solutions
• Deploy and configure network solutions; integrate new components and provide initial support
• Monitor and optimize network performance; troubleshoot issues and provide improvement recommendations
• Maintain documentation and ensure compliance with standards and procedures
• Coordinate with stakeholders and vendors; manage projects from conception to completion
