Job summary

Serco is seeking an Associate General Counsel – Government Contracts to provide strategic legal counsel across U.S. and international government contracts.

You will advise on lifecycle activities, regulatory compliance, and contract negotiations, partnering with executive leadership and cross-functional teams to ensure compliance and risk mitigation. This senior role requires JD, active bar status, and substantial experience with government procurement, disputes, and compliance programs.

Qualifications

• JD from an accredited law school and active bar membership in good standing.
• Minimum 8 years advising U.S. government contractors on procurement law, FAR/DFARS.
• Strong working knowledge of government procurement regulations and trade compliance laws.
• Experience negotiating complex government contracts and in-house compliance programs.

Responsibilities

• Provide strategic legal counsel across the lifecycle of U.S. and international government contracts.
• Lead drafting, review, and negotiation of government contracts and NDAs.
• Advise on compliance with FAR/DFARS, agency regulations, and trade controls.
• Support audits, investigations, and regulatory inquiries; manage disputes and claims.
• Coordinate with procurement, HR, programs, and leadership to manage risk.
