Job summary

Impulse Space, Inc. is seeking a Government Affairs Senior Manager to lead relationships with local and state officials in California and Colorado, while maintaining federal ties to DC.

You will drive engagement strategy, monitor regulatory developments, and collaborate across teams to support Impulse’s rapid growth at headquarters. The role requires 7+ years of legislative experience, strong communication, and willingness to travel to DC as needed.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of federal legislative experience on Capitol Hill or in government affairs.
• Bachelor's degree in Political Science or related field.
• Experience supporting constituent services or similar.
• Familiarity with federal legislative processes including appropriations and authorization.
• Experience navigating national security policy, programs, budgets, or advocacy.
• Strong verbal and written communication, including white papers for technical topics.
• Ability to work collaboratively and independently across a multi-location team.

Responsibilities

• Represent Impulse with local and federal government stakeholders.
• Draft and execute engagement strategy in Redondo Beach and Mojave Air and Spaceport.
• Monitor local regulatory developments and build relationships with officials.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align engagement with strategy.
• Explain complex policy issues clearly to internal and external audiences.
• Host visiting stakeholders in the Los Angeles area as needed.
