Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance; CPA coursework preferred.
• 3 years of government accounting experience, with 1 year in supervision.
• Valid Florida Class E driver's license; ability to obtain TWIC and Port Security badge.

Responsibilities

• Oversee maintenance of the general ledger for all agency funds, programs, and activities, including monthly reconciliations and variances.
• Supervise the monthly, quarterly, and annual financial close processes with proper review of entries.
• Oversee accounts payable functions, grant billings, tax filings, and related reporting.
• Monitor internal controls and ensure accurate financial reporting across departments.
• Support external and internal audits with schedules, reconciliations, and responses to inquiries.
• Provide leadership, coaching, and performance reviews for accounting staff.
