Job summary

CGS Federal is seeking a Senior Accounting Technician to support a large federal agency. The role includes managing accounts payable, reimbursement activity, and collections, with oversight of various financial processes.

Ideal candidates have strong accounting knowledge, experience with UFMS/JEDI systems, and the ability to prepare comprehensive financial reports for DOJ and other agencies. A US citizen status and ability to obtain a Public Trust Clearance are required.

Qualifications

• Two-year degree in accounting or four-year degree in a related field with 30 accounting credits.
• Knowledge of manual and automated accounting systems used in banking and finance.
• Experience with interagency reimbursement agreements and commitments.
• Experience with quarterly closeout and financial accruals.
• US Citizenship and ability to obtain a Public Trust Clearance.

Responsibilities

• Manage accounts payable and reimbursement activity.
• Oversee collections and financial oversight for multiple accounts.
• Prepare financial reports and documentation for review by DOJ and other agencies.
• Support UFMS transaction processing and resolve system errors.
• Compose memorandums and correspondence related to financial activity.
• Maintain and update office financial databases and records.
• Contribute to team efforts and support other divisions as needed.
