Job summary

TSABAA in Austin, TX seeks an Accountant to support the agency's financial operations. You will prepare monthly entries in MIP and CAPPS Financials, reconcile accounts, and maintain GAAP-compliant records.

The role covers payroll processing, fund transfers, budget monitoring, and journal entries. You will research discrepancies, prepare reimbursements, and assist with SAO reporting and audits as needed.

Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited four-year college or university with major coursework in accounting, finance, or business administration (degree in accounting/finance preferred).
• Experience and education may be substituted year-for-year for up to two years.
• Familiarity with governmental accounting principles and practices.

Responsibilities

• Prepare monthly accounting entries in MIP and/or CAPPS Financials.
• Reconcile cash, expenditures, and online credit card transactions.
• Maintain accurate financial records in accordance with GAAP.
