Moffat County School District is seeking a Finance Accountant to support financial operations and ensure accurate reporting. The role includes payroll and accounts payable processes, compliance monitoring, and maintaining fiscal integrity.

Qualified candidates will possess a degree in Accounting or Finance, along with 5 years of progressive accounting experience. Benefits include PERA retirement and health insurance for eligible employees.

Qualificações

• Minimum of 5 years of progressive accounting experience required.
• Ability to read and analyze general business periodicals or governmental regulations.
• Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as percentages, discounts, and interests.

Responsabilidades

• Perform advanced accounting functions in support of the District’s financial operations.
• Ensure compliance with GAAP, GASB standards, and reporting requirements.
• Assist in payroll processing and support Accounts Payable functions.

Conhecimentos

Strong understanding of governmental and fund accounting

Proficiency in financial software systems

Microsoft Excel or Google Sheets

Ability to analyze financial data

Formação académica

Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
