Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation seeks an Accountant VI to perform advanced accounting work, lead financial analyses, and supervise related tasks. The role involves preparing statements, coordinating GASB reporting, and overseeing accounting controls.

The position requires a four-year degree in accounting or related field, four years of ledger/audit experience, and proficiency with Excel/Word. On-site in Austin, TX, with potential for additional hours as needed.

Qualificações

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration required.
• Four years of experience in general ledger accounting, accounting controls, and/or auditing.
• Four years of experience preparing, analyzing, and auditing financial reports.
• Experience with Excel and Word required.
• Willingness to work extra hours as workload may require.
• CPA is preferred.

Responsabilidades

• Oversee and prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial analyses, reconciliations, and reports.
• Prepare and audit general ledger journals, deposits, and related entries.
• Oversee unclaimed property reporting for Texas and other states.
• Coordinate upgrades and testing for financial system projects.
• Prepare financial statements and assist with GASB-compliant reports.
