Job summary

Andrews & Cole, LLC seeks a Senior Corporate Accountant to serve as deputy to the Controller within the corporate Finance team. This hands-on role supports day-to-day General Ledger activities and owns major projects in Unanet, including project billing and labor cost tracking, with mentoring responsibilities for the team.

The ideal candidate has government contracting experience and can provide financial insight to Program/Project Managers, growing with a rapidly expanding organization.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting/finance or related field.
• Minimum of four years in public accounting and/or corporate/general ledger/project accounting.
• Minimum of three years in government contracting environment.
• Strong knowledge of GAAP and month-end close processes.

Responsibilities

• Extract timesheets, post payroll and labor costs, and reconcile postings to GL.
• Reconcile key balance sheet accounts (Unbilled AR, Deferred Revenue, Prepaid Expenses).
• Provide monthly trend analyses and reporting on P&L and balance sheet accounts.
• Own project billing and submit expense accruals and revenue postings for assigned projects.
• Lead project set-up in Unanet: timecodes, budgets, pay rate changes, onboarding.
• Read and track contract documents, validate modifications.
• Maintain project tracker templates and assist with program bookings.
• Support audits and monthly reporting, budgeting and reforecasting.
• Assist with integration activities for acquired companies and onboarding of new contracts.
