Job summary

B&A is seeking a Senior Corporate Accountant to serve as deputy to the Controller within our corporate Finance team. This role supports day-to-day General Ledger activities and leads complex projects, including project billing and Unanet setup.

The ideal candidate has government contracting experience, can mentor teammates, and grow with our acquisitive organization. This position operates on a hybrid schedule onsite in McLean, VA.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• Minimum four years of experience in public accounting and/or corporate, general ledger, or project accounting.
• Minimum of three years in a government contracting environment.

Responsibilities

• Own project billing and submit expense accruals, adjustments, and revenue postings.
• Create subcontractor purchase orders and approve subcontractor invoices in Unanet.
• Lead project set‑up and ongoing maintenance in Unanet, including timecodes, budgets, and labor categories.
• Onboard new hires and subcontractors in Unanet with welcome emails and instructions.
• Read, understand, and track contract documents and validate contract modifications.
• Maintain project tracker templates and assist with bookings for programs.
