Job summary

B&A is seeking a Senior Corporate Accountant to serve as deputy to the Controller within our corporate Finance team. This role handles day-to-day General Ledger activities and leads larger projects including project billing, Unanet project setup, and providing financial insight for Program/Project Managers.

The ideal candidate is hands-on, detail-oriented, with government contracting experience, and willing to mentor teammates while growing with a rapidly expanding organization.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• Minimum of four (4) years of experience in public accounting and/or corporate, general ledger, or project accounting.
• Minimum of three (3) years of experience in a government contracting environment.

Responsibilities

• Support day-to-day General Ledger activities and handle more complex projects including project billing and contract setup in Unanet.
• Own project billing and submit expense accruals, adjustments, and revenue postings for assigned projects.
• Create subcontractor POs and approve invoices in coordination with the PM.
• Lead project setup and maintenance in Unanet: timecodes, budgets, pay rate changes, onboarding.
• Read and track contract documents and validate modifications.
• Provide insights on project health: burn rate, funding, option year changes.
• Support financial statement audits and monthly reporting.
• Assist with budgeting and reforecasting; integration for acquisitions; mentor teammates.
