Job summary

Autodesk is seeking a Senior Site Reliability Engineer to build and operate reliable, secure cloud services for GovCloud products. You will help shape operating models, reliability practices, automation, and engineering standards for production services.

Ideal candidates have deep production-scale experience, an automation-first mindset, and strong judgment to improve reliability through engineering practices. This role requires U.S. citizenship and security clearances as applicable.

Qualifications

• B.S. or higher in Computer Science, Engineering, or related technical discipline.
• 7+ years of experience in Site Reliability Engineering, Software Engineering, Platform Engineering, Cloud Infra, or Production Ops.
• Experience operating customer-facing production services in large-scale cloud environments.
• Strong understanding of SRE principles: SLOs/SLIs, observability, incident mgmt, capacity planning, automation.
• Experience with public clouds (AWS/Azure or others).
• Automation development using Python, Go, Java, PowerShell, Bash, or similar.
• IaC, CI/CD pipelines, deployment automation, and modern cloud ops practices.
• Understanding of security, compliance, and operational risk in production environments.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Own reliability, availability, performance, operability, and capacity of production services.
• Deploy, operate, and improve production services in GovCloud environments.
• Partner with engineering to ensure reliable, scalable, secure services.
• Define and operate SRE practices like SLOs/SLIs, error budgets, readiness reviews.
• Build automation to improve deployment safety and incident response.
• Develop software and tooling to improve reliability and efficiency.
• Implement monitoring, alerting, logging, tracing, and observability capabilities.
• Lead and participate in incident response and post-incident reviews.
• Maintain operational documentation, runbooks, and recovery procedures.
• Scale resilience testing and gamedays for readiness.
