Job summary

Oliphant Golf Management in Toledo, OH seeks a Senior Golf Course Superintendent to lead agronomic management for Ottawa Park, Detwiler Park, and Collins Park, coordinating with the General Manager and Golf Shop staff to ensure an exceptional guest experience.

You will manage the budget, plan cultural practices, supervise the maintenance crew, oversee water usage and irrigation, and ensure safety and regulatory compliance while driving continuous improvements to keep the courses among the city’s

Qualifications

• 3+ years of management and supervision experience
• Ohio pesticide license or ability to obtain one
• 2-4 year Turf Management / Horticulture degree preferred

Responsibilities

• Oversees turf care and maintenance of the facility grounds and course playing conditions.
• Manages the maintenance department and all personnel associated with operations.
• Recruits, supervises, evaluates performance and conducts safety meetings for staff.
• Maintains courses to top condition per Toledo City Golf and OGM standards.
• Schedules maintenance around play and coordinates with GM and Golf Shop staff.
• Develops annual plans for cultural practices and landscaping; manages water usage and irrigation.
• Oversees chemical applications in compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.
• Prepares and manages annual operating budget and capital improvement plans.

Education

2-4 year Turf Management / Horticulture degree preferred
