Job summary

Invited is seeking a Golf Course Superintendent for River Creek Club in Leesburg, VA. This role supports the Director of Golf Course Maintenance and the 1st Assistant Superintendent with day-to-day operations of an 18-hole course.

The ideal candidate has a turf management degree, 3+ years in course maintenance, and a strong background in budgeting, equipment, and regulatory compliance. A pesticide license & driver’s license are required. Competitive benefits apply.

Qualifications

• Associates or Bachelor’s degree in Turf Management or related field.
• 3+ years of Golf Course Maintenance experience.
• 1+ year managing budgets for golf course & landscape departments.
• 1+ year of technical knowledge of equipment, products and resources for golf operations.
• Current State Pesticide Applicators License or will obtain within 90 days.
• Valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Provide agronomic oversight for healthy turf, trees, wetlands and plant materials.
• Supervise chemical applications and ensure regulatory compliance.
• Oversee safe operation and maintenance of golf course equipment; budget planning for new gear.
• Maintain golf course to highest standards following guidelines and budgets.
• Control expenses related to golf course operations and adhere to budget.
• Coordinate with Head Golf Professional to optimize rounds and maintenance scheduling around events.
• Communicate with members to meet expectations.
• Lead staff training in OSHA and safety protocols to ensure safe working conditions.
• Provide ongoing training for staff and foster a culture of compliance and safety.
• Lead and participate in meetings discussing club operations, schedules, and environmental concerns.
