Job summary

Naperville Park District seeks a dedicated Golf Maintenance III to handle routine maintenance of the golf course and clubhouse grounds, including mowing, planting, pruning, and basic irrigation tasks.

The role involves operating various landscape vehicles and assisting with daily course setup and special projects, while maintaining standards of the district’s customer service and safety guidelines.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum one year of grounds maintenance experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Responsibilities

• Maintain golf course areas, sand bunkers, ornamental beds, shrubs and trees through mowing, weeding, planting, watering, mulching and pruning.
• Operate and maintain small maintenance vehicles, mowers and other landscape power equipment.
• Assist in daily setup of the golf course including cup changing and tee placement.
• Operate tractors and other large equipment.
• Provide support for special projects and irrigation work.
• Assist with irrigation and hand watering; perform garbage collection and bathroom cleaning.
• Demonstrate and support district customer service standards.
• Preventative maintenance on golf course equipment; perform other duties as assigned.
