Job summary

Workato is seeking a Senior Go Engineer to join the Workato Genie team. You will develop mission-critical features for the platform, including AI chatbot dispatching and balancing synchronous and asynchronous AI execution.

You will build high-performance gateways, routing components, and server-side logging/monitoring infrastructure, collaborating with Infra, SRE, and AI teams to ensure high availability, scalability, and a top-notch user experience.

Qualifications

• BS/MS degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• 8+ years of industry experience.
• Strong Go language backend experience (4+ years).
• Excellent debugging, analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Understanding of web app architecture: databases, load balancers, caching, monitoring.
• Experience building and scaling distributed, highly available systems.
• Familiarity with Ruby on Rails is a plus; open-source contributions are a plus.
• Basic Kubernetes concepts and configuration knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Develop mission-critical features for the Workato platform, including AI chatbot dispatching and AI execution orchestration.
• Build high-performance gateways and routing components.
• Develop server-side infrastructure for logging and monitoring.
• Collaborate with Infra, SRE, and AI teams to ensure availability, scalability, and good UX.
• Contribute across all development lifecycle stages; write clean, testable code.
• Explore improvements and evaluate new technologies for architectural reviews.
